Thr. Jul. 06, 2000 6.14pm est Haha, my first ever update from work!!!!! Take that Staples! Anyway, You've noticed that I haven't done anything to the page lately... it's because I've been spending all of my quality time (and this even includes some of my one-handy browsing time, so you had just better be grateful... ; ) working on my new website. Be sure to stay tuned, and within the next week or so, I should get it posted. Not much of the content will be updated, but the design is new and far more interesting than this design. I know that doesn't say much, but trust me, it's pretty cool. ; ) Sun. Jun. 25, 2000 9.32pm est I've dedicated a link on my new page to the master of HTML himself, Tristan Reitz. He has made a site dedicated to martial arts, and more specifically, Bruce Le. Within the site is a gallery of Le images... now, this master is soooo damn good, he even linked to the site where he got the pictures (tristan's note: SOME OF THEM!!!! SOME OF THEM!!!!) and if you think the mastery ends there, just wait until you go to the site... the site he stole the pictures from, HAS MORE PICTURES. What a God. Be sure to check out his Jet Lee gallery too... no thumbnails... perfect for those on a 2400. Oh lordy Jesus. Thr. Jun. 22, 2000 5.30pm est Ooooh, now I'm really proud of myself. I've devised a way to expedite the loading of my web page, well, actually just to make it seem like it loads faster. I call it HTxl, and using it (in theory) will greatly improve the browsing experience. It's really simple, actually, and more than likely has been done before. It's just a little creatively done HTML script. I won't actually get to test it until I upload my new page, though, so try to restrain yourselves. I'm kinda anxious to see how it works... oh well. Until next time, ta-ta. Mon. Jun. 19, 2000 11.21pm est Guess what I'm up to?... hehehehehehehehehe this site is getting a complete overhaul; yep, I'm completely redoing the design and structure and (you're gonna love this) this time I'm doing it ENTIRELY by hand, and by myself. That means that every little thing on the site will have been done by me, and every little bit of HTML will have been hand written by me! Hahaha! I have cut the umbilical cord of wizards and templates! I am now a man! For those interested, I'm using TextPad (by Helios Software Solutions) to do it. You know, every time I use this program, I love it more and more... if you don't have it, get it. In my new site, there'll be a link to the Helios site so you all can enjoy the wonder and beauty of this little text editor. As for the new site, it will (of course) no longer look like it came from, oh say, a Frontpage template (shut up), and no more of that silly "These letters are curtesy..." crap. It's not even remotely like what the site is now, and I think that of three whole sites I've done, this is by far is best... by a landslide even. So far I've got the index page done and completed, and I am quite pleased with it. It'll be awhile yet before I get everything converted over, so you can stop holding your breathe (even though you're probably holding it for suicidal reasons, and not anticipation... ;), but let me tell you, it's pretty cool. The only downside is, is that it is slightly more graphic intensive (yes, yes, I know you're think, "how could it possibly be more graphic intesive than the present sight?", but just rest assured that it is) and the index page weighs in at about 18k, which, ironically, is less than this one, so you can be happy abou that at least, but all the other pages are bound to be at least that big, but I don't think waiting four seconds for a page to load should be a problem. Sun. Jun. 18, 2000 12.43am est I heard something that you all must hear... the offender will deny it's truity, but take my word for it, these events transpired... here's the quote: It's not that they're complicated, it's just that they're hard to understand. The statement speaks for itself. Oh, and there ARE ten days in a week... despite what the calenders say. Fri. Jun. 16, 2000 6.30pm est Ten days? Damn, I'm losing track of time... anyhoo, I overhauled some stuff that probably nobody will notice, but that's okay, 'cause I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one that comes to this page regularly... which is good, seeing as how it's my page and all. Well there you have it, my update for the time being. Time to move on to infinitely more important things, like playing solitaire. Sat. Jun. 6, 2000 2.53am est Damn me and my mouth, as you may have noticed, I have made another deposit to the archives, and have purged this textbox of my previous rants. Now onto the meat of the update... I've made some more additions to the A&E section... now, now, you can't fool me... I KNOW you like it... ;) Thr. Jun. 8, 2000 3.26pm est I updated the A&E section................... BUT NOT WITH A NEW POST!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! hehe, sorry. But seriously (and yes, I did just start a sentence with a conjunction,if you have a problem with it, I suggest you talk to my manager...), I did a few changes in my ever so pulchritudinous poetry, a word can make a world of difference... of course, I have yet to see this happen... ; ) Oh yeah, for those of you out of the know, Microsoft is officially going to be split in two, great, now we can have two monopolies... While I'm on the subject, I suggest everyone one of you out there in TV land get The Downward Spiral by none other than Nine Inch Nails... it's great. I say so as I am listening to it whilst I type this post. Okay, I think I'm done now, news updated as events warrant.... dammit, now I'm thinking of PC Accelerator... I'm gonna miss that magazine, it was the news you can trust from people you shouldn't... *Sigh* Mon. Jun. 5, 2000 6.01pm est You know, if there's one thing I hate in this world, it's a hypocrite; and when I went to this site: http://www.sonicnet.com/news/story.jhtml? genreNameForDisplay=Rock&genreDirectoryName= rock&id=971590 I read about one of the great hypocrisies of the twentieth century... I'm too pissed off to continue typing. Fri. Jun. 2, 2000 7.49pm est Oh yeah, Metallica rules. Fri. Jun. 2, 2000 7.45pm est I just realized that I had to work at 7 o'clock this morning (don't worry, I did go in)... it's just, I'm still alive. Wow, I didn't think I would live through that; you know, getting up so... early. You know, I'm starting to think this whole "real-world" thing isn't all it's cracked up to be. Give me the life of a programmer any day... well, an insanely talented and well known programmer that is. Hm, I'm bored, maybe I'll puke something up and slog it onto the A&E page. That sounded disgusting didn't it? oh well. Fri. Jun. 2, 2000 5.42pm est Wowy, spicy news today! The new Athlon (code name Thunderbird) is coming out Monday... Guess what I want for MY birthday? ; ), Intel has offically dropped the Celeron, they're no longer even supported, the Celeron-II's however, are still going strong. And perhaps biggest of all, MICOROSOFT HAS AGREED TO UNCLE SAM'S BREAK-UP PROPOSAL... hehe just kidding, I was seeing if you were still awake... ; ) Thr. Jun. 1, 2000 11.01am est Oh WOW. Read John Carmack's newest .plan update... my mouth is still open: 6/1/00 ------ Well, this is going to be an interesting .plan update. Most of this is not really public business, but if some things aren't stated explicitly, it will reflect unfairly on someone. As many people have heard discussed, there was quite a desire to remake DOOM as our next project after Q3. Discussing it brought an almost palpable thrill to most of the employees, but Adrian had a strong enough dislike for the idea that it was shot down over and over again. Design work on an alternate game has been going on in parallel with the mission pack development and my research work. Several factors, including a general lack of enthusiasm for the proposed plan, the warmth that Wolfenstien was met with at E3, and excitement about what we can do with the latest rendering technology were making it seem more and more like we weren't going down the right path. I discussed it with some of the other guys, and we decided that it was important enough to drag the company through an unpleasant fight over it. An ultimatum was issued to Kevin and Adrian (who control >50% of the company): We are working on DOOM for the next project unless you fire us. Obviously no fun for anyone involved, but the project direction was changed, new hires have been expedited, and the design work has begun. It wasn't planned to announce this soon, but here it is: We are working on a new DOOM game, focusing on the single player game experience, and using brand new technology in almost every aspect of it. That is all we are prepared to say about the game for quite some time, so don't push for interviews. We will talk about it when things are actually built, to avoid giving misleading comments. It went smoother than expected, but the other shoe dropped yesterday. Kevin and Adrian fired Paul Steed in retaliation, over my opposition. Paul has certainly done things in the past that could be grounds for dismissal, but this was retaliatory for him being among the "conspirators". I happen to think Paul was damn good at his job, and that he was going to be one of the most valuable contributors to DOOM. We need to hire two new modeler/animator/cinematic director types. If you have a significant commercial track record in all three areas, and consider yourself at the top of your field, send your resume to Kevin Cloud. ------ Uh, wow, is anybody as blown away as I am? Thr. Jun. 1, 2000 1.41am est I got an idea, you know in English class when you'd write a paragraph of a story, and then pass it on? I'm gonna do that here, I'll start and then everybody else finishes... am I being inventive or lazy? You decide ; ). It's in the A&E section (big surprise), I shall dub it: Our Story. Thr. Jun. 1, 2000 12.56am est 1 4m 4n 31337 hax0r!! 1 w1ll 0wn j00! 1 4m tH3 qU4k3 g0d, j00 w1ll b0w b3f0R3 mY l33t p0w3Rz! b3Nd 0v3R 4s 1 uT1l1z3 mY m4d sk1llz 4nD f1R3 4 R0cK3t 5tR41ghT uP j00r 455! j00 4r3 4ll f4GG0t5 c0mp43d t0 m3! 1 4m l33t m4st3R f4GG0t5 k1ll0r! 5uCk mY NutZ pUll th3 D1cK 0ut 0f j00r 455 4nd D13 F4GG0T5! ...man I'm cool. ...man I need to go to sleep. Wed. May 31, 2000 11.36pm est Just so you know, there's a new version of ICQ out... ICQ 2000a Beta v.4.31 build #3143 to be exact. Hit icq.com for the lovin'. Sat. May 27, 2000 2.55am est Wow, kinda did more of an update there than I had planned on, instead of adding one item, I added three. Just goes to show what kind of life I have... I mean, it's Saturday night, and from what I hear "normal people" go out and do stuff, and here I've been glued to my computer all day, kinda like every other Saturday that I can remember... Friday's too, and Sunday, hell just about every... no, every day of the week... oh well, they don't know what they're missing. ; ) Sat. May 27, 2000 2.19am est Ho hum da dee dee dum, not much going on in my neck of the woods. I slapped up some crap in the A&E section, for your........ enjoyment (said with evil infused sarcasm). Gosh I would like to say more, but darnit, there's just nothing to say. Over and out. Wed. May 24, 2000 2.46pm est Whoa, I just realized that my dorm # is still listed under my 'home phone' in my contact section... so I took care of that little problem. Wed. May 24, 2000 1.20pm est Okay, I just went to Kid Rock's website... this guy is the most arrogant sob I've ever seen. I was trying to find the lyrics to American Bad Ass so I could make fun of them and because of this line: "They call me cowboy, I'm the singer in black, throw a finger in the air, lemme see where you're at, say Hey Hey" I was intrigued because the guys in Metallica always wear black and flip off the audience, and the Hey Hey part was ripped from Sad but True, so I thought maybe he was singing about them, I thought "At least he's acknowledging them" but upon further listening... no, he's just talking about himself. Surprise, surprise. Wed. May 24, 2000 12.18pm est Hehe, I just noticed that Sad but True is almost a minute longer than American Bad Ass, cripes, Kid Rock can't even keep up with Metallica when he copies from them, what a wuss. Wed. May 24, 2000 12.06pm est I just saw my page in Internet Explorer, it doesn't look right, so just remember to use Netscape. A real browser. God dammit, Kid Rock is still pissing me off, if he was half the artist he says he is, well first, he would play an instrument, then he would sing- none of that half-rock/half-rap bullshit (don't even get me started on Limp Bizquick), then he would stay the hell off MTV. Oh yeah, and he would write a song... THAT WASN'T ABOUT HIMSELF!!! Okay, I'm gonna play quake and envision his head on all of the bots to cool down... later. Wed. May 24, 2000 11.44am est Well I'm listening to Kid Rock's remix of 'Sad but True'... his American Bad Ass, and let me tell you, I think it's kinda scary, and just a little bit hypocritical. Oh yeah, not to mention dumb, unoriginal, and completely lackluster. The whole song is about how pop culture is all shit and how he is the god that rules all. You know, I heard Eminem was doing the same thing with his songs... perhaps I missed the boat, but aren't these people part of the culture they're ridiculing? The part that scares me about this is that I think it's becoming popular to disavow allegence to pop culture... but that very act in itself pledges your allegence to it. Hypocricy is back folks! Christ on a stick! (there's more than meets the eye there ; ) Of all the scourges of pop culture, this is potentially the most damaging, now you will have kids saying pop sucks and then reveling in its bounty. This is exactly what the music industry has been wanting... once this frame of mind takes hold, then they will have everything they want... they can produce more Britney Spears', make millions from them, then make bands that make fun of Britney Spears and make millions off them and so on... it's a vicious cycle. This is bad, this is very, very bad. Say goodbye to talent, the music scene has been going downhill for about seven years now, and it's only getting worse. God dammit. And you know what? Most if not all, of the blame can be placed on Mtv. That channel is just wrong... peddling their crap to kids not old enough to form their own opinions about things, kids who are then molded for life to except what is givin as 'good'. I could go on and on, but I think I'll stop with this update... perhaps I'll collect my thoughts in a letter and post it in the A&E section and then send it to a newspaper and/or magazine. Wed. May 24, 2000 2.39am est Holy Gods, have I been put in my place! I was pokin' around on the web and saw a poem that was just incredible. Wowy, kinda made me feel like a kindergartner going against Edgar Allen Poe... only the poem was more along the lines of Emily Dickinson. Sheesh, well I'm going to bed now to sleep off my humility... Wed. May 24, 2000 2.14am est Damn internet connection.... anyhoo, the site should be updated now (haha, and you thought you were safe), I did have another piece for the Artwork section (really I did), but I think I threw it away on accident. Oops. Oh well, it was just a bunch of doodles (a doodles part tres, if you will) so it's no big deal. Wed. May 24, 2000 12.48am est Yay! I've got another visitor to my site, that brings the grand total to, oh lets see, let me get the Cray out... ... ... ... 3! Whew, good thing I keep I keep a super- computer handy ; ) To celebrate this momentus occasion, I'll update the A&E archives a bit... Hey! stop yer bitchin'! ; ) Mon. May 22, 2000 11.24am est Well, I finally found out wtf was going on with my freeservers account, seems the box my page 'o love is running on is packed to the brim with other peoples stuff, so whenever I try to u/l anything, there's nowhere to put it. Well, at least I know what's wrong, I can sleep at night. Let's see if there's room for this update... ;) Fri. May 19, 2000 3.49pm est Oh I'm just having a grand 'ol time with my webstuff lately. Freeservers seems to be stable now, but I tried to log into my mail account... guess what? I CAN'T! I dunno what the fuck's up with this, but goddammit, I've had it up to here (gestures with middle finger to the ceiling) with this kinda crap... I just want something that works... is that too much to ask?!?!? Fri. May 19, 2000 12.57am est ....seething with rage..... freeservers... sucks.... ASS.... spent 5 hours on update.... now... won't upload...... must,,, kill.... must... kill..... Thr. May 18, 2000 11.55pm est Wow, remind me never to do THAT again... nipping on the heels of the redesigned A&E page is the biggest update I have EVER done. That SUCKED. I said a couple hours? HA! More like 4.5 - 5hrs. (and I'm all the more pathetic for it). I aren't even done, I still have another story to put up, but it's kinda boring so I'll leave it for another time. Well anyway, should make a few peoples last days in class slightly less boring. I'm sick of typing, over and out. Thr. May 18, 2000 12.15pm est Oooooh, you guys are in trouble now! I found my old scrap book... hehe, you think the A&E has alot in it now, just wait till I get this stuff posted! Aaaah, those were the days, this is I made in class in high school when I should have been listening. I swear to god, I do my best work in class ; ). Look for this stuff to get posted in the next couple hours. Wed. May 17, 2000 2.00pm est Boy, was I wrong! I noticed that my text in the previous post extended past the boundry in the text box, so like a good little netizen, I went to fix it, and upon re-uploading the file, GUESS WHAT? It didn't work! *sigh* I've given up. I guess I can't bitch too much, see as how it's free and all... but god damn, this sucks. Wed. May 17, 2000 1.55pm est Well, I think (read: hope) I've found the problem to my freeservers dilemma. I think I was running out of space, so I just went through and deleted the stuff that I never used (there was alot more than I thought there was) and then the upload went smoothly... boy it would be nice if they TOLD you you were running out of space, bastards. Wed. May 17, 2000 1.39pm est Sweet mother of Jesus! What the hell is wrong with Freeservers?!?!?! I've been trying to upload this damn file for almost a half hour, it keeps transfering only bits and pieces of the file, and never the whole thing... this is really pissing me off. Oh, ya'll might want to check out the good links section, I've added one... although it too is hosted on freeservers and I was having difficulty getting to it, despite that however, it's perhaps the most important link down there ; ) Wed. May 17, 2000 12.37pm est I fixed the snake on the Holy Snake site, turns out the reason he didn't look right was because I pooch screwed the pictures... wasn't the
's fault after all, but my stupidity... I hate it when I'm stupid... anyhoo, I changed the background for the A&E table, I think, for the better. Dunno about you, but the brick.gif was getting old. That's all for now. Tues. May 16, 2000 1.50am est I was looking at my index.html and it was 37k... because I don't know how to keep my mouth shut. Sooooo, I'm putting all my rants into the archive... that'll help loading more than anything I've done so far. Load times are suddenly very important to me now that I'm on a p0rn pipe stricken with impotence... That's a 33.6 for those who aren't up with l33t web jargon. Teus. May 16, 2000 1.47am est I just made all the pictures jpeg's too, so now all the images (namely the letters and the brick table bacground in A&E) are about 1/2 the size they used to be. That should further increase loading time a bit. Teus. May 16, 2000 12.45am est I did a little optimization on the page, the title letters are now presized and not sized on the fly. This should speed up loading a tad, but not much. Sun. May 14, 2000 11.43pm est Oh cool man, I'm starting to hallucinate again... it's like everything is writhing... ow, I've got a cramp in my hand, be back later. Sun. May 14, 2000 11.23pm est Christ on a stick, I'm tired. It feels likes it's 4 in the morning or something, of course this is probably because I've yet to go to sleep after a LAN party that I was privy to enjoy last night (which, by the way, kicked mucho arse). It's interesting for me now, because instead of the usual delirium that accompanies my late night ventures, I'm just tired. Very tired. Did I mention that I'm quite tired? My god, I made an update to the A&E section (you know the drill), and getting the thing into HTML was a downright struggle, I had to strain to maintain focus on what I was doing... so often I would catch myself drifting off and my hands doing some weird stuff to the keyboard. After much struggle, I got it up (I think) so if it look's frightening, you now know why. I'm gonna quite now... it's so hard for me to type coherently that I've actually started to break a sweat. Thr. May 11, 2000 2.32am est God damn... a week without a post... what's the world come to? Anyway, there's some new crap (last word said with emphasis) in the A&E if you dare, check it out. I hooked on FreeWWWeb! Yay! Not to shabby, not to shabby at all... Hell, it's better than Locl-Net... and it doesn't cost $20 a month. I love this country. Thr. May 4, 2000 8.11am est Awwww, damn. On one of my daily rounds to nambla.org (you didn't read that) I've come to discover that the site is back to normal... GOOD THING I D/L'd THE HACKED VERSION, MWHWHWAHAHAHAHA! hehe, I fixed the link so that it now points to the hacked NAMBLA. Thr. May 4, 2000 7.31am est Oh yeah, got a couple more poems up for your reading enjoyment
. I'm on for record here... ; ) "Most crap poems ever posted within [insert time period]" Oh yeah, this ones mine baby... Thr. May 4, 2000 7.22am est God I love staying up all night... it's just fun. Anyway, I noticed that my damn ICQ indicator down there isn't working. Dunno why, but rest assured it has something to do with me using the new ICQ (2000a), because that's when it started. Thr. May 4, 2000 3.09am est I have nothing better to do than update my webpage... okay, I'm done now. Sat. Apr. 29, 2000 9.18pm est Guess what, I uploaded something to the A&E page... AND IT WASN'T A POEM!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo! First time THAT'S happened in awhile. It's a picture this time, it's also the first one I used computer manipulation on... now being the purest I am I, the manipulation was only to create the inverted image and to blur the distinction line between them... any computerized enhancement to a hand drawn image that is passed as artwork is cheating in my book. Wed. Apr. 26, 2000 2.27pm est Whoa, read that new poem (To heal) while listening to 'A warm place' on the downward spiral album (Nine Inch Nails for you cave dwellers)... kinda cool, reminds me of that thing that happens when you play pink floyd and watch Wizard of Oz. Yes, I am a dork. Wed. Apr. 26, 2000 2.20pm est Weeeeelllllll, got another poem up (are you getting the same feeling that I am? Far, far too many poems... but hey, my page, my waste of time ;) Paruse at will, and as always, I take no responsibility for damage caused by viewing anything I make (some of this stuff has been known to make those "special" kids feel dumb). Tues. Apr. 25, 2000 4.39pm est BWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! ahem. The new ICQ is out, hit icq.com to get it. whew. Tues. Apr. 25, 2000 1.14pm est Friends, this is a sad day... (well acutally, the 23rd was a sad day). The guy who made pkzip, is... DEAD... at 37. *sniff* Phillip Katz was his name (hence the PK in PKZip). Sources say he died of chronic alcoholism. I never knew this about him, but apparently the guy had a little Ted Kazcenzski (sp.) in him, check out this quote from abcnews.com: "Despite his success as a software engineer, Katz had troubles in his personal life. Authorities obtained a search warrant in 1997 after Katzís Mequon neighbors complained about odors, insects and mice at his luxury condominium. Authorities said they found knee-deep garbage and decaying food at the condo. Katzís lawyers paid the city of Mequon about $8,000 for the cost of the cleanup, pest exterminators and legal fees" He was found dead April 14 in a hotel room with an liqour bottle in his hand, and five empty bottles scattered through the room... Well, uhh, maybe we won't miss him too much... P.S. Rap sucks. Sun. Apr. 23, 2000 3.45am est I just played a little bit of the daikatana demo... wow, they really did a nice job with the graphics. Amazing they pulled that out of the Quake2 engine. As for the gameplay, I didn't play too long, but it looks promising. Oh, I downloaded the new Metallica song, I Disappear... it kicks ASS! That's all I have to say about that. Well, as the venerable Cartman would say (or close thereabouts) "Screw you guys, I'm goin' ta bed." Sat. Apr. 22, 2000 11.35pm est Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm past the 300 mark in SETI@home, it's up to 302 to be exact. Hehe, GODDAMN... SOMEBODY GET ME A LIFE... STAT! Fri. Apr. 21, 2000 7.29pm est I just had a major brain storm, I'm gonna move the link for my A&E section up to (you better be sitting down [if you're not I'd reeeally like to know why]) the Contents!! Sound ridiculous to move a link for a page of my site to the Contents? Well it is! But I'm just crazy enough to do it... Fri. Apr. 21, 2000 7.25pm est I just put up a couple more poems... gosh, I was in a poetic mood just now but (lucky for you), it's past now. Thr. Apr. 20, 2000 1.37am est Wowy, classes are almost over, THANK GOD. Well, I just beat my fifth level of Quake3 on Nightmare! difficulty, and I'm too hyper to goto bed... damn thing took me about two and a half hours for that one level... but it was worth it. At first I tried to beat it fair and square, you know running around with the rest of the bots and trying to beat them that way, but then I realized, "what a minute, I'm a human, these are machines, I can cheat and they won't notice" so I camped out with the Railgun and whooped ass, final score 20-11. Victory! Vini vidi vici, god dammit! Anyway, now that I've gone throught the trouble of typing this and posting it, I'm wound down enough to attempt sleep... Merry unChristmas to all, and to all a good night! Fri. Apr. 14, 2000 11.57pm est I just finished a little side project I was working on. Some of you have seen a little bit of it, but it's much fuller now. It's mainly for university students but I think everyone would enjoy it... there is a link down in the Good Links section, it's The Holy Snake. Fri. Apr. 14, 2000 6.16pm est I fixed the link to my ICQ contact page, just in case someone ever uses it. Wed. Apr. 12, 2000 12.13am est Hey, now this is cool! The website of the North American Man Boy Love Association has been hacked! Check it out, there is a link in the good links section... found it on one of my daily rounds there... uhmmm, wait, pretend you didn't hear that. I'm going to go now. Mon. Apr. 10, 2000 10.54pm est Whoa, I just realized that I forgot to mention that I put a couple new things up in the A&E section... okay NOW you can go back to your lives. Mon. Apr. 10, 2000 10.41pm est FYI, I just finished updating the clan page. Okay, go back to your lives. Mon. Apr. 10, 2000 9.57pm est Wow, I think the freeservers thing has finally cleared up, I just updated the page and every- thing went smoothly. How nice. Anyhoo, just case you've missed, I have the Microsoft Findings of Fact available for download in the Good links section. Good read, especially if your bored in class... ; ) Sat. Apr. 8, 2000 6.45pm est I tried to download Nutscrape 6.0 but when I tried to run it, it didn't work. Sucks. So then I tried to download the Mozilla M14 version, just in case it would work... well, it didn't. Fuck IE anyway. Oh well, at least old reliable (NS4.7) still works. I'll be damned if I EVER use IE again. Thr. Apr. 6, 2000 1.07pm est Okay, I'm better now. I've vented my anger. Peer closely at the statement just below the title of this page (this site...), if you finger out the joke/irony involved, then, well first you have far too much free time on your hands and/or have no life (and if you think you're bad for trying to figure it out, think about how bad I must be for doing it...), but more importantly, you will win a very special prize! Now exactly what that prize is, I'm not going to reveal (I think the mystery of the prize is more motivating than the prize itself, sad, isn't it?) and rest assured it's not worth anything, but it sure is special! (and I'm talkin' short bus kinda special). I suppose I'm done for now. Off to class. Thr. Apr. 6, 2000 12.41pm est Huh, just noticed I didn't put a time on the previous post, oh well, it was about 12.30am. Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know I have a renewed hatred for Microsoft after reading the judges findings. Actually that's not what sparked this note, it started with the fact that my hard disk is a wee full. You see, Windows kept telling me that my disk was full and it was kindly offering to clean it for me. After multiple refusals the thing kept popping up, so I checked a box that was SUPPOSED to disable it. Well guess what, it STILL popped up. Oooooh, that made me mad. Then a little later I got sick of IE always opening whenever I clicked on an HTML file so I tried to associate them with Netscape, well guess what... YOU CAN'T! Well, not without manually editing the registry. That was it. MY GOD, it wasn't just that though, it was the little things, like not being able to customize the interface at all. For instance, I wanted to have the icons in Control Panel and My Computer stay large... and they won't! And the way 98 tries to anticipate what you are going to do, and then does it for you. That's all well and good, if it EVER worked. The problem is, is that it's ALWAYS wrong... So I'm working myself into a frenzy trying to do something, and being the keyboard cowboy that I am, I just hit a sequence of keys without waiting for windows to digest them. Of course, theoretically this should pose no problem, BUT NOOOOOoOooOOOOOoooooOOOOOOOoooOOooooO! As Windows digests those keys, it tries to figure out what I'm doing before it gets done doing what I told it to do. And of course in the interest of usability, it completely ignores what I told it to do, and does what it thinks I'm doing. DAMMIT! And you can't change any of this without a third party program, which is complete and utter BULLSHIT, while I'm at it, I may as well bitch about the fact that Windows doesn't come with an instruction manuel, WTF is up with THAT?!?!?!?! If Micro$haft really wants to make it easier to use... INCLUDE A GODDAMNED MANUEL! Sweet GOD, AHAHAahahahaaaaAAAhaaha... I better quit typing... I'll be back after I cool off. Thr. Apr. 6, 2000 ~12.30am est Oh no, it happened. Not like ya didn't see it coming but now it's official. Aureal is no longer a contender. They filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and their entire management team has resigned. *Sigh* Guess we're stuck with Creative Labs (again). Looks like another ten years of tyranny. Tues. Apr. 4, 2000: 2.27pm est Oh yeah, if you've been living in an ass- cave for the past couple days you might have missed this little tidbit of news: Microsoft has officially been ruled a monopoly, and to have violated section 2 of the Sherman Antitrust Act. I have the 46 page report for download, so grab it and read (great toilet literature). Just check the good links section. Tues. Apr. 4, 2000: 2.04pm est Just about ready to go in for a nine hour shift at Wally-World at three, this will be the second to last time I have to go in there.... THANK GOD(s). I've no idea when this update will get posted as I am having an extreeeeemly difficult time getting things up (hehehehehehehe). I added a couple things to the A&E section and gave it a border="1" so it's nicer to look at now. I have a confession to make too, I bought Fiona Apple's new album.... WAIT! let me explain. Well, actually nothing to explain but I had to say something so you wouldn't punch the screen in. DESPITE what some may think, the album kicks ass, but not like Metallica, where it actually takes you across its knee and gives you an intimate encounter with the firmer side of a boot, it's more of a figurative kick in the ass because it's so completely different than, say, Metallica and still manages to be wonderfully done. Well chide though you might, at least it's better than SOME people
who would take a liking to certain pop stars who don't even write there own songs, let alone have any talent. Well, I'm done now, by the time anybody reads this I will have forgotten I wrote it and they'll start making fun of me and I won't know why... so I guess nothing changes.. ; ) Later. Wed. Mar. 29, 2000: 1.14pm est God damn, has it really been 6 days? Huh. The network seems to have stabilized and I would like to point out that with everyone gone on spring break surfin' the net is extreeeeemly AWESOME. Can't say the same for deathmatching, however. Odd. Maybe it's just that there are so many more people playing Quake now that even with my high speed p0rn pipe, it's still slow. Can't complain too much, still getting ~100 ping time... ain't nuthin' like the ~30 ping I was getting on christmas break, but I think I'll manage ; ). Remember how I said I was gonna add stuff to the A&E page over break? Well, I lied. I'm still gonna put some stuff up, but not nearly like I had planned. I've been nominated to do some work for the university, and unlike typing out the drivel to post on my page, this pays cash money. So there. That's all for now, so go do something more constructive than reading my mumblings (like mowing the lawn with a kleenex). Thr. Mar. 23, 2000: 11.47pm est Okay, so maybe just a little hitch, the very last part of the page was truncated... shoot me. Thr. Mar. 23, 2000: 11.41pm est If you're reading this I thought I'd let you know that this post and the one just previous uploaded without a hitch. I'm positively gushing with joy... had to share it with someone, okay, I'll shut up now... later. Thr. Mar. 23, 2000: 11.29pm est Well, after a brief chat with one of the dorm technicians (heretoafter referred to as godboy99) I found out a few things about the recently installed firewall and the state of the student network. First, is that most IP functionality has been stripped altogether, and second that our network sucks. Basically the best thing he could tell me was: good luck. Fuck. Well if I have to do it, I have to do it. Dammit, this is going to suck. Oh well, there's plenty of update room for me to piss and moan. :) Oh, before I cool down, the aforementioned godboy99? Guess what? He's doing fucking missionary work in Mexico!!! God DAMN! If that ain't a poor little marionette if I EVER saw one... so sad to see a sheep such as him stray from the pack of rightiousness (atheism). He used to be a good little non-believer, but somehow they (and you know who THEY are if you've been keeping up on the posts) whitewashed his stubborn head. Hell, he was one of the most stubborn bastards I'd ever known, I'd've bet on the congealing of the underworld before seeing him being born again. FUCK, now that I think about it is starting to blow my mind. He's a ravenous one too, if there was a more complete change in direction than 180, it'd be him. Wowy. I'm rambling, aren't I? Okay, okay, I'll stop. Until we read again.... Thr. Mar. 23, 2000: 11.05pm est Well, this WOULD read something about me updating some of the script on the page so that the buttons work correctly........... BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooOOooOoOooOOoOOoo! Freeservers has bent me over yet AGAIN! I used the tools they provide to edit the page, thinking that it might be a little more reliable than trying to upload the altered pages; and I thought it was. It APPEARED to be updated, but then I go to look at it not ten minutes ago and what do think I saw? Nothing! No updates whatsoever! Ohhhhhhhh, spitting mad I was/am. DAMMIT, looks like I'm going to have to battle through WS_FTP from now on.... Later. Thr. Mar. 23, 2000: 12.28am est I've decided to start editing this from the freeservers site, as trying to upload it has been extreemly troublesome lately. Dunno why, but it's really, and I mean REALLY starting to piss me off. Y'all might want to check out my previous tirades just in case you missed anything in the past day or so (and I know that everybody clings to my jeremiads like porn to BigDan). I lied to you as I still have no idea what I was going to say earlier. I can tell you this, however. Look for some Far Side-esque comics coming to the A&E page ere long, I know you'll love them, because I say you will. Dammit. Wed. Mar. 22, 2000: 7.31pm est Well, now it's truly official... I've just finished my first shift @ Staples. So no more Wally world for me, no sir. Despite the promising job prospect presented there (Staples) they still had me go through the brainwash... er, I mean 'orientation' session. It was rather comical and a mite scary, though, because by now I am immune to those wretched videos, but the Union video was uncannily similar to Wal- Marts, to the point of having the same guy hosting it. Kinda freaked me out, makes ya wonder if there isn't just one big super- corporation that does nothing but pump out those 'orientation' videos. Maybe that corporation could be the proverbial "them", the same "them" responsible for the downfall of society, alien cover-ups, military conspiricies, and filling those tubes of toothpaste with multi-colored stripes... those bastards, trade secret my ass, they have some secret toothpaste technology that is not of this earth, that is supernatural, that is evil, that is... wrong. I will bring them down, oh yes, I will expose them. Hot DAMN! It happened again! The line you just read was intended to be: Anyway... But was instead cut down before it's inception by the lackluster memory manangement of Notepad... *Sigh*. Or maybe I'm just too verbose? I don't know, anyhoo you can find (if you really, really, want too) the previous posts now added to the others in the 'previous tirades' (that little button down there). Now I forgot what I was going to say... hum... huh, can't remember, well don't fret, when (and I do mean when) I do, I will post them (I know exactly what you're thinking: "I was afraid of that"... I can read minds too, I'm tele-pathetic you know). So, I bid you all a fond farewell, and adieu. Teus. Mar. 21, 2000: 2.33pm est Hey, hey, hey! Good thing my roommate told me this because I never would have thought of it. Not two days ago I acquired perhaps the most important article of my collection of useless stuff... the tin box edition of Quake 3! Yes, I know, you're saying, "he already has Quake 3, what the fuck is buying it again for???" Well, to say it flat out, I'm a looney. That's all there is to it. Don't try and understand, just try and play out the raging jealousy I know you all must be feeling right now... Teus. Mar. 21, 2000: 1.20pm est I was just out at lunch with a pal (no, not the previously mentioned abomination that is the dragon), and whilst we were parusing the neighborhood, we can across a semi-truck that had stranded itself taking a turn too sharply. Normally, it would just have been a matter of backing up and trying again, but this particular corner is on a slope, and when the truck tried to turn, the back wheels of the trailer rode up onto the top of the mound. Now, that's not the bad part, the bad part is the fact that the trailer wheels were so far up that the wheels on the cab had been lifted off the ground and the truck couldn't move! Pretty funny if I do say so myself. So instead of doing anything constructive we just parked, blasted some music, and watched the comedy unfold. Hehe, nothing like being a good samaritan... Teus. Mar. 21, 2000: 12.10pm est Well, well, well; I should be happy right now, I should be bouncing off the walls with joy as spring break is right around the corner. But (and yes I did just start a sentence with but) there's this one guy, I don't know if you know him, but see, he's getting a new computer, and, well, it's really, really, really, really, really really, really, really, really, really, really, really fast and he made sure to make that abundantly clear to me. So as to return the favor, I'm going to let you all in on a little secret about this "dragon" character (names changed to protect the inno... well, actually to avoid lawsuit [the bastard is far from innocent]). You see, there's this handheld hoover he keeps behind his bed, and it has a special attachement with, um, special, life-like fleshiness so to speak, that he, well, takes out at night when he *thinks* no one is looking. But let me tell you... I'M looking. My god, the atrocities I've seen go on in that bedroom... so, so many squirrels... then there's the children he brings down there to pet his 'famous' one-eyed snake that supposedly lost it's other eye in a horrific accident involving tweezers, a C-clamp, and grape jelly. It's terrible, it really is. I should report it, but, but it's to much. Just to recant this has left me ill with disgust. So anytime you see this 'dragon' prowling about the playgrounds lookin' all like he's helping the kiddies climb the jungle gym, stop and ask yourself if climbing a jungle gym involves a grease gun and duck tape. Think about it. Mon. Mar. 20, 2000: 9.15am est Fine, don't believe me, but if I'm not mistaken I here the sandman, a ziplock bag, hand lotion, and spot by the heater where the insulation sticks out of the wall calling my name. See y'all later, kapoylski sleep now. Mon. Mar. 20, 2000: 9.15am est No, I really am OK. Mon. Mar. 20, 2000: 9.14am est Yes, I am OK. Mon. Mar. 20, 2000: 9.07am est God DAMMIT! Fuck IE anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I wanted to do was edit my page using the file manager provided by freeservers, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOooOOOooOoOOOooOOOOoOOOOOoOOoOooOo they had to be bastards about it and make it only work right with IE. So I sit here for twenty FREAKIN' minutes trying to figure out just what the holy FUCK is goin on here when I tried to upload a file and got only jibberish. Then it dawns on me, hey DUMBASS! You fool! You think that something would go RIGHT for a change? HAH! You're doomed to spend forever with a HUGE dildo up your ASS, always getting FUCKED by THE MAN! So I think to myself, I think, "Self, if I was trying to fuck me over, what would I do?" to which I replied, "Well, that's easy, I would take into consideration that I only use Netscape and then code a page so it only works with IE!" OF COURSE!!!! So I try IE... and guess what?... IT WORKS! As I write this I can feel the rythmic pounding of Billies dildo in my unlubricated ASS. Goddammit anyway. Mon. Mar. 20, 2000: 12.07am est Well, I've got another poem up, short, sweet, and to the point this one is. I rather like it, it's a nice departure. Anyhoo, it appears that the network is being oppressive again, and I can't upload anything. Sucks. So I don't know when anyone will see this (or if!!!! Ooooh, spooky.... Do you like porn... er, I mean, scary movies?) I guess it sucks to be you, ahahahhaha ahahhaha! Na-na-nah-na-na, I get to see the updates before you do! Ummm, yeah, I'm gonna get some sleep now as judgeing from what I just wrote, I desperately need it. Later to those who won't see this until it is irrelevant. Sun. Mar. 19, 2000: 11.43pm est I fixed a few spelling errors and did some minor re-wording to a few stories, I'm talkin' changing about five words total, out of all the stories, so I wouldn't trouble myself with looking to find what they were (yeah, as if anyone would anyway), uh-oh, I hear space between the matress and bedpost calling my name again, 'till next time. Sun. Mar. 19, 2000: 2.22pm est At the behest of the aformentioned trapesing beast, I have updated the cool links section with some mo' schtuff. I hope they live up to standard, I think they at least prove for some, um, interesting reading. If you want some REALLY interesting sites, just tell me, boy have I got some hum-dingers... I will update the A&E section later on, and will perhaps be finished by Monday night. Got some cool things in the 'ol authoring mill. Stay tuned. Fri. Mar. 17, 2000: 3.29pm est Woo-hoo! I be workin' at Staples now! Oh, wait, that means I'll have to work with Stu... uhmmmm, uhh, hrm. Maybe I should rethink this. That, and I found a really sweet remix of Ruiner, ask and ye shall recieve they always say... or something. Oh, I've got a joke for you: Q: Why'd the scorpion sting the frog? A: Because he's a damn scorpion. Hidden meaning? I'll let you decide... Thr. Mar. 16, 2000: 12.15pm est Oops, I just realized that the titles on my various pages within the A&E section were all the same... well I guess my dirty little secret is out... I used the same HTML for every page! There, now you know! I hope you're happy! Or something... I feel that special feeling coming over me and I think I know what I have to do... (put away the prophylactic, you sick people) it's time for another thought provoking quote: "Luxury is a necessity that begins where necessity ends." That one's for all of you out there who make, oh say, $8.25 an hour to play with computers and want a raise, ya bastards... ; ) Thr. Mar. 16, 2000: 11.54am est I should be in class right now, but I'm not, so shoot me. I was just noticing how much the MTV music generation sucks and I felt like burdening everybody with my thoughts... here goes... MTV can take all there crap music, their crap shows, and their crap people, throw them all into a huge vat of festering decay, piss in it, dump crude oil in it, throw in some tires for good measure, then light it on fire and televise the burning of filth for all the world to see. Other than that I'm in just a peachy keen state 'o mind. Hehe, if you can believe that. To any who are interested, there is an update for Quake 3, and can be found anywhere... well, anywhere. I'm starting to rethink my choice of majors after a field trip we took in one of my classes. The trip depicted a man fresh out of college planning to spend the rest of his working life in a factory supervising people who make electroplating materials. Sound exciting? Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Well, that's all for now, news updated as events warrant. Teus. Mar. 14, 2000: 3.49pm est Now I've done it, I've went through my whole damn page and monkeyed with it... I think it looks better for it though. Oh well. I just now figured out how to update my page through the firewall, so that's why it wasn't changed yesterday (I don't give a rat's ass if I spelled that wrong). I would also like to note here that the submit doo-hickey at the bottom of the page will probably not work for a long time, if ever, so don't get your hopes up (I know every- one is just dying to use it [sarcasm drips off the monitor]), so if you want to tell me something, or, to give me something to post in the A&E section, just check down on my contact info and there should be ample ways of doing it there. Of course if you know me (*ahem, dragon*), then you can just give it to me. So there you have it, and now, I'll leave you with a thought provoking statement: "The more times you run over a dead cat, the flatter it gets." Mon. Mar. 13, 2000: 4.05pm est Hehe, been awhile, eh? At the request of perhaps the most powerful beast to ever trapes the planet, I have updated the A&E section of the page, enjoy. Oh yeah, I've surpassed the 200 mark in SETI@home, I'm up to 203 now. Mon. Jan. 31, 2000: 8.08pm est I just added three fans to my case, that brings me to a grand total of nine! Woo-hoo! Thr. Jan. 27, 2000: 9.46am est Great news! Sometime during the night, about 7 hours and 49 minutes ago, I passed the 100 unit mark in SETI@home!! Woo-hoo! Sun. Jan. 23, 2000: 4.31pm est WCPUA2 has been released!! Of course this only means something if you own an Athlon. The program allows you to control the L2 cache speed via software... sweeeet. Fri. Jan. 21, 2000: 8.56am est Oh... My... God.... I just about blew a load when I found this page, its the USNO (United States Naval Observatory) web site, and it allows you to hear the time (in realtime, so to speak ; ) as it happens with realplayer... it is sooooooo god damn cool. I put the link in my good links section... have fun and don't stay up too late kiddies. 'US Naval Observatory Master Clock, at the tone eastern standard time: eight hours 59 minutes 25 seconds...' ad infinitum. Thr. Jan. 20, 2000: 11.45pm est I haven't done this is awhile, so I'll post. If you ever meet anyone on ICQ named keromail0 bitch him out for me. He's an 11 yr. old who thinks I'm his friend, and he barely speaks english. What a fag. Anyway, have fun in your endeavors. Ta-ta for now. Mon. Jan. 17, 2000: 11.01pm est I've posted a link to my Clan page in the good links section. For all the world to see and such. I added a poem to my
collection of stuff in the A&E section. That's all for now, news updated as events warrant. Mon. Jan. 17, 2000: 5.31pm est I'mmmm baaaaaaaaaaaaack! He he. Well, I'm on freeservers.com now, so I'm here to stay this time. Just overjoyed, aren't you? The vast hordes that visit this site every waking minute will notice that I no longer have the 'Surf my HDD' up... I begged freeservers to let me upload my 800MB pub directory, but they didn't seem too keen on the idea. Wonder why? ; ) Sun. Jan. 16, 2000: 10.24pm est My trial is up on my domain name service sofware is up... so if you're reading this right now you're name probably starts with a 'D' and ends with an 'an DePue'... Thr. Jan. 13, 2000: 9.04pm est Well guess what, I've pushed Notepad to the limit and while I was typing another oh-so earth shattering installment of my rants, Notepad told me that there was not enough memory to complete the operation. So now I have my previous ramblings in a separate, archived page, you can click the button if you really want to see them. I though it was kinda funny really. Getting back to the point, the post I was trying to write was to inform the world of a neat little program that has come to my attention. If you have an Athlon mainboard, and it's based on the AMD 751 Irongate chipset (as they all are right now) then you might be able to enable what is called super bypass. What that is I have absolutely no idea, but apparently once enabled you get ~7.3% increase in CPU->Memory bandwidth; and we all know that you can NEVER have enough of that. You can find this gem of a program in the Surf my HDD section, it's under utilities and is named chipid.zip, use it at your own risk. Actually, it is a chipset identification utility and will run on practically anything, but all it will do is tell you what the chipset is, you have to have an Athlon mobo to enable super bypass. As a side note, mine, sadly, does not work. It is said that your chipset should be of stepping 5 of later for best results and mine is only stepping 4. *sigh* Did I just set a record for longest post? : ) Wed. Jan. 12, 2000: 10.02am est I found a cool little program that checks your computer for compatibility with Windows 2000. It's called chkupgrd, you can find it if you click on Surf my HDD, it's under Utilities. Wed. Jan. 12, 2000: 9.27am est Can you imagine working at the following Company? It has a little over 500 employees with the following statistics: *29 have been accused of spousal abuse *7 have been arrested for fraud *19 have been accused of writing bad checks *117 have bankrupted at least two businesses *3 have been arrested for assault *71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit *14 have been arrested on drug-related charges *8 have been arrested for shoplifting *21 are current defendants in lawsuits *In 1998, 84 were stopped for drunk driving Can you guess which organization this is? Give up? It's the 535 members of your United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line. Scary, huh? Wed. Jan. 12, 2000: 12.31am est I should be sleeping right now, but I'm not. I've got school in ~7 hours... THIS SUCKS. Maybe it would help if I got into bed, and stopped typing. Tues. Jan. 11, 2000: 4.22am est DAMMIT! I just remembered that school starts tommorrow (I don't care if I just spelled that wrong)... oh well, at least it's only a three day week and I get a three day weekend thereafter. Sigh. Alright, I'm going to bed; this is a really nasty habit I have. Tues. Jan. 11, 2000: 4.16am est To protect the lives of the innocent, you can find the path to my clan page on my ICQ contact page. That is, unless of course, you pay me a hefty fee... Tues. Jan. 11, 2000: 4.06am est I mentioned earlier the thing I was going to post, well it's posted on my Q3 clan page under misc>links>A&E and there's a couple of them. I encourage everyone to enjoy my work, and share it with everyone!!! Mon. Jan. 10, 2000: 5.13pm est Sorry 'bout that, guess I got a little excited... Mon. Jan, 10 2000: 5.12pm est He he he he hem huhm hem he he he he ha ha ha aha ha aha ha haha ha ahhahah ah ahdh dhaahh Whaaaa a a ajshaha hah;ldkhja;nv;apdrhg[d'nsd ASDGA'KSH;VANPFHAM'n;ahd;glna;cvJ;asdnv;a BWHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Whew... The network is back up... ahhhh. Sun. Jan. 09, 2000: 1.23pm est Well I blew it. I laid down at seven thirty and fell asleep. I'm so ashamed. Somebody, please flog me. Network is still down, this is terrible, I feel trapped... I, I don't know what to do without internet access... I'll probably just sit here dumbfounded for the rest of the day. Sun. Jan. 09, 2000: 6.52am est Howdy all! Still goin' strong, I haven't slept yet. I just finished up something that I'm gonna add to the site later... I'll just say that lack of sleep does WEIRD things to a persons thought processes... Hell, I was freakin' myself out while I was making it. Let me know what you think when you see it. Sat. Jan. 08, 2000: 6.48pm est Well, the Tri-State server is down, so I have no idea when ya'll be able to read this. I figure I'll bitch now and get it out of the way. I've slept ~24 hours in the past two days, so you can expect a couple more days of all-night updates ;) I'm sure you people will enjoy it... Oh, and a shout out goes to Mr. Malone, my homeboy at my old highschool, what's up! And while I'm talkin' to ya Mr. M, you ought to go checkout my Quake3 page, a friend o' mine can show you the way; goes by the calling of Mr. DePue... Fri. Jan. 07, 2000: 7.48pm est Been doing a little updating, if you find it go get yourself a cookie. My clan page is coming along nicely, and is almost in it's amorpheusly final form. My trial period for the TZO software expires in little less than a week and a half, after that, expect the page to be moved to freeservers or something of the like... no more hosting on the Athlon 'o love... that is, of course, unless somebody sends me a hefty sum of money to buy the software (yeah, THAT will happen anytime soon). Oh, well, I guess that just frees up more cycles for my quakin'... ;) Thr. Jan. 06, 2000: 5.47pm est I've updated the instructions.txt in the /pub/ sections. Now you can tread my sectors without fear of running into an unknown... Thr. Jan. 06, 2000: 11.56am est I've decided to start a Quake3 Clan, if you really want to see it, tell me and I'll give you a link (it's not for the faint of heart, and just so you know the logo is homemade ;). And god forbide if you want to join tell me of that too, and we'll make a man of you yet soldier! Well now you know what I've been doing all night, and this time it didn't include a six pack of Vasoline and a bottle of cheese whip.... Thr. Jan. 06, 2000: 5.43am est Well I haven't been to sleep yet, my mission to get my body back on a diurnal activity period is going quite well. School starts back up in a week... and I hope that's the last time I think about until then. Learned something in my nighttime net foraging, a T1 uploads very slow, like modem slow. No idea why, but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find out. Also found out that a T1 downloads at 1.544mbps, not 1.44mbps like I had previously thought. Can you tell I'm babbling? Oh great, Netscape crashed (again) so I have to reboot... see you on the flip side. Wed. Jan. 05, 2000: 8.01am est Gawd my ass hurts!! Okay, really going to bed this time. Later. Wed. Jan. 05, 2000: 7.57am est Well, I'm finally going to bed after an all night Quake-a-thon, dabbled in the CTF for awhile, I forgot how much fun that is. I found a TCP/IP update for Win9x high-delay networks (i.e. satellite links) and I put it in the /pub/utilities/ section, it's name is 236926up.exe. Until later, see ya. Wed. Jan. 05, 2000: 6.46am est Haven't gone to sleep yet, I'll force myself back into normal sleep patterns if it kills me... Have I mentioned how much I HATE local news shows? I am witnessing ours (NBC affiliate) and Oh My GOD! It's like letting a rabid groundhog loose in your brain!!! AAAHHHHHHH!!! Okay I'm better now, just thought I share that with you. Good night... er, morning... whatever. Wed. Jan. 05, 2000: 2.30am est I put an alternate text on the telequake picture. And I'm starting to take donations for the website, so get the family and friends together and send in some gifts! Just send me and e-mail and I will give you the information you need. ;) Tues. Jan. 04, 2000: 3.33pm est It was brought to my attention that I had misspelled the abbreviation for Tuesday so I have taken the liberty of repairing those updates. I would also like to say that from now on I will spell Tuesday anyway I damn well please and if you don't like it, I have a HUGE, MASSIVE blunt object that would love to be introduced to your forehead... Tues. Jan. 04, 2000: 3.34am est I added three new links to the good links section. One is for Quake 3 World, the others are links to Lord of the Rings fan sites. I highly suggest you check out My Precious, even if you didn't like the book (and therefore should be shot) you'll appreciate the design of this site. Tues. Jan. 04, 2000: 12.26am est I've decided to start dabbling in the black art of mod making for Quake 3, any moral support is welcome.... On to the Arena! Mon. Jan. 03, 2000: 10.18pm est Quake 3 Arena kicks ASS. Thank you. And (yes I did just start a sentence with and) if the page is taking a long time to load, it's the counter. Just hit stop (in your browser, duh) and continue browsing. Mon. Jan. 03, 2000: 1.29am est Just thought I'd let you know that my room mate is mentally handicapped and it's his fault that my ICQ and web server keep going down. He seems to think that closing ICQ and Apache will make Quake run faster... obviously he doesn't know that I have an ATi video card. Sun. Jan. 02, 2000: 10.10pm est I almost forgot, I have to brag that I was running a Quake3 server into the new psuedo- millenium! Yes, yes, I bet you all wish you could have been that clever... And in case anyone cares, I reached 75 SETI@home units completed! God DAMN I have no life... Sun. Jan. 02, 2000: 10.03pm est Y2K my ASS! What an anticlimax THAT was... God, for a second there I thought I was watching Scream. Howdy, I'm back ; ). I just noticed apache wasn't running, so if by chance hell has frozen over and someone tried to see my page and couldn't, you know why. I love writing the date now, it just feels so futuristic; though it kinda makes me wonder what Conan O'brien is going to do with his 'In the Year 2000' segment. Well that's all for now, over and out. Tues. Dec. 28, 1999: 9.38pm est I put the counter back on, but you can't see it. If you don't like it... lick me. Tues. Dec. 28, 1999: 7.32pm est On the advice of a friend (whose name shall remain changed to protect the innocent) I right aligned something. If you can guess what it is, go get yourself a cookie. Tues. Dec. 28, 1999: 6.33pm est Nothing much happening, just feel obligated to tell you that on the off chance someone tried to visit my page in the last few hours or so and found they couldn't, that it was because the school's network is messed up. If want to know specifics, then for god sakes don't hold back... Mon. Dec. 27, 1999: 6.41pm est Well I'm back. Had some down home cookin' with the fam-damily and in general a good time. Hope ya'll had a fun holiday (yes, I just did say ya'll), yeah, all two of you that might have seen the page.... Fri. Dec. 24, 1999: 1.20am est Howdy folks! Helluva day, I had. Quite nice, actually. Got to hang out with some pals. Haven't done that in a looooo oong time. Anyhoo, if any of you have problems loading the debate, A&E, or My Thoughts page, tell me. A friend of mine can't load the images, but I can't find anything wrong with the script. Something along the line got fubar'd. Alright, that's all for now, guess I'll see ya post Christmas... toodles. Wed. Dec. 22, 1999: 6.53pm est Just in case you're DYING to know, the line I added to the Bio Info was the bit about me attending Tri-State. I've added another one now too, figured it was relevant too. And no, it's not the bit about my birth... Wed. Dec. 22, 1999: 6.35pm est Added a line in the Bio Info section, tought it was kinda relevant. Just learned a new word today, Sisyphean- now is that a cool word or what? It means 'neverending' as related to a struggle or task. I also joined the Tri-State University group for the SETI@home project, I figured they could use some REAL horsepower, as provided by a 650MHz Athlon. Oh yeah, fecal matter gonna hit the fan, now... Wed. Dec. 22, 1999: 2.51am est Finally came off my Quake source code high... can't sleep... just watched newsradio (best damn sitcom)... made various visual tweaks... I'll try to sleep now... Oh, and Download the Quake source code. Wed. Dec. 22, 1999: 1:07am est --Click link below for Quake Source-- Ok, now I've settled down a bit. I've added two links to the good links section, 'My thoughts' and 'A&E'. My thoughts is a collection of what's running through my head (ifinitely interesting, I know, but so far I'm just about the only person who's been to my sight) and A&E is art and, well entertainment. I removed the sound because my roommate thought it was irritating (I'll get him, somehow, someday...;) and I removed the counter because it was taking too long to load. Oh, did I mention, I HAVE THE QUAKE SOURCE CODE?!?!?!? Download it below... Wed. Dec. 22, 1999: 12.32am est Superceding all other updates to my page, (and there are quite a few)..... I HAVE THE SOURCE CODE FOR QUAKE!!!!!!! That's right, there is a link under this window for it (I whipped it out as this a monumentous occasion)! Download it, now!!! After I quit spasming with joy, I'll tell you about what I've done with the sight... ooooh god, Quake1 source code... ooooh god.... Tues. Dec. 21, 1999: 3.45pm est Just finished some tweaking to the 'Surf my HDD' portion of the page, now there are instruction.txt files that give a short description of the stuff there. I've decided to include day with my date and time, I figured, why the hell not. I also added a counter to the page, it's at the bottom under the AMD banner... I think you'll like it ;). Now that the macroscopy of my page is basically done, I've been using Notepad to do my cleanup work, ahhhh, I feel like a man again. Oh, there's an embedded sound too, and if you're a true computer nerd it will bring a tear to your eye... Dec. 21, 1999: 11:32am est Just thought of something, if any of you know how to make these fields so that the viewer can't delete the text, tell me. Dec. 21, 1999: 11:28am est Sorry I was down folks, I had too many links in the 'Good Links' section so I decided to put them in a table; then I got in a rather lengthy fight with the HTML table script, but I won and all is right with the world. Dec. 20, 1999: 6.24pm est I've decided to include time with my updates, and to separate them if they are made on the same day. Hey, it's not my fault you think this post is stupid, you're the jackass reading it. Dec. 20, 1999 I added this news box, and did further visual tweaking. Now my web page looks halfway decent, you should be REALLY proud of me now... Dec. 19, 1999 I finally made a web page, aren't you proud of me?
